Michael’s Bio:

Michael Manirakiza has over a decade of experience in banking, asset management and business development, resulting in a sharpened understanding of the client experience and a deep appreciation of how to drive the adoption of financial services in new markets. He spent most of his career at Desjardins, launching new services and gaining insight at the rapid pace of technological transformations in financial services.

Through this experience, he also came to appreciate the challenges faced by many small and medium-sized business clients, specifically when it came to financing their operations.

Two years ago, over lunch with his two co-founders, they mapped out a vision to build a unique fintech platform that would solve access to working capital for SMEs in Africa. More recently, they’ve expanded their services to include a B2B Marketplace to help solve access to markets.
